Laravel applications · development and maintenance

I write the code. I run the server. I answer the email.

I build custom Laravel applications and websites, then look after the server, updates and backups. The person who built it is the person who maintains it, so nothing gets lost between the two.

I work in Portuguese and English

I was IT Team Leader and System Administrator at the University of Porto. Today I build Laravel applications, so I look after both sides: the code and the server.

I've worked with Worten, Zaask, Iswari and Gleba on integrations, payments and websites. I built and run focinhos.pt in production, a management and adoption platform used by animal shelters. I also built and run metproof.com, an SLA-tracking platform for IT support teams.

You get one person responsible, who answers and explains things clearly.

After launch, clear prices and no surprises.

Frequently asked questions

Before you ask

Do I have to hire development and maintenance together?

No. You can hire only the build, only maintenance for an app you already have, or both. Together usually works best, because I know the code from day one.

How is development priced?

After an initial conversation, I send a proposal with the scope, phases and a fixed price per phase, with staged payments. Work outside the scope is agreed beforehand, at €40/hour.

Do you maintain apps you didn't build?

Yes, if they're Laravel or PHP. The initial review tells you the real state of the code and server before any monthly commitment.

How quickly do you respond to a problem?

Critical issues (site down) within 4 business hours. Regular requests within 2 business days. Business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 (Lisbon time), excluding national holidays.

I'm outside Portugal. Can I hire you?

Yes. I work remotely, in Portuguese or English. Prices are in euros and VAT is added where applicable.

Have a project to build or an app to look after?

Send me an email with a short description and, if it already exists, your site's address. I reply within 2 business days.
